Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of VoxBee, a macOS and Linux desktop application for on-device speech-to-text dictation, transcription, and meeting notes (“the App”). By using VoxBee, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the App

VoxBee is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.

On-device processing

All speech recognition is performed locally on your device. Your audio and transcriptions are never sent to our servers. Optional features like meeting summaries may use third-party AI providers that you configure — VoxBee does not control or store data processed by those providers.

Accounts and licenses

VoxBee offers a free 14-day trial. After the trial, a paid license is required for continued use. License keys are activated and validated through Polar.sh, our payment and licensing provider. Each license may be activated on the number of devices specified at the time of purchase.

Refunds

We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are not available. See our Refund Policy for details.

Intellectual property

VoxBee and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by VoxBee and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your transcriptions and data remain yours — we claim no ownership over content you create with the App.

Prohibited uses

• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
• Redistributing, sublicensing, or sharing your license key with others
• Using the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Disclaimer of warranties

VoxBee is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that transcription results will be error-free or that the App will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoxBee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of VoxBee after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
